A. Scruff, Acrlyic on Hessian, 2010
The above is a portrait of Scruff, the Cellarman at the
Coopers Hotel in Newtown. I painted Scruff on a hessian bag – there is a
certain harshness and honesty about working with such a course material, this I
feel is reminiscent of the harsh nature of Scruff. This work
transcends from a series of portraits of farmers. Harnessed by Scruff’s
character are his own connects to the bush.
The Cathedral of Notre Dame is a prominent example of French
Gothic Architecture. The building exerts an astounding use of stained glass that
creating a sense of luminosity. The structural and visual complexity of the
Cathedral lends itself to unless study.
C. Stockton Beach New Years Eve, 2010/2011.
D. Louise Bourgeois' Untitled, 1947
The photograph was taken after a collaborative effort to make an extravagant bonfire. The photograph captures a night of festivities whilst camping at Stockton Beach. Using a slow shutter speed I was able to capture a moment of beauty, where the fires glow, which projects an array of colours, lights up the whole shot.
